Keeping an established events website current
ENGAGE Shows needed practical WordPress support as its programmes and exhibitor information evolved. The work centred on keeping programme journeys clear, maintaining company profiles and checking the enquiry process that connects exhibitors with organisers.
The challenge
Programme naming, profile links and enquiry emails needed to remain consistent across separate event programmes. An enquiry could appear successfully submitted on the website while its notification landed in a recipient’s junk folder.
What the maintenance work covered
- Programme and exhibitor-profile organisation for SAFI 2026 and SAFI HIVE 2026.
- Updates to landing-page links, programme navigation and homepage banners.
- Consistent SAFI HIVE 2026 subject and body wording across 13 contact forms, preserving company and organiser recipients.
- Form and email-path checks, including investigation of messages reported in junk.
- Preparation of the SMTP plugin and a clear handover for the client’s mailbox configuration.
A clearer website and a practical next step
The work aligned programme content and enquiry wording while identifying an email-authentication issue that required follow-up. A form’s success message was treated separately from proof of inbox delivery.
Delivery status: authenticated SMTP setup and final inbox testing were awaiting the client’s mailbox details at handover. This case study does not claim that inbox placement was already resolved.
Why this is website maintenance
Ongoing care goes beyond software updates. It includes keeping business information current, maintaining working customer journeys and investigating the small failures that can interrupt an enquiry.
